Summary:
We are seeking a Secondary Art & Design Teacher to join our team in August 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching art and design to secondary students and will have a creative approach to engaging and inspiring young minds.
Job Responsibility:
- Plan and deliver engaging art and design lessons to secondary students.
- Develop and implement creative projects and assignments to enhance students' artistic and design skills.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their artwork and design progress.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular art and design-related activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification essential.
- Proven experience teaching art and design to secondary students.
- Strong understanding of different art and design mediums and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for art and design education and inspiring young learners.
Skills
-Proficiency in mixed media and experimental art techniques
- Ability to incorporate interdisciplinary elements into art projects
- Skill in guiding students to explore unconventional materials and artistic processes
- Knowledge of contemporary art movements and their relevance to the curriculum
- Experience with installation art, performance art, and conceptual art
- Ability to encourage students to think critically and conceptually about their art
- Strong emphasis on creativity, originality, and self-expression in student work
- Familiarity with collaborative art projects and community-based art initiatives
- Flexibility in adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse student interests and learning styles
- Passion for pushing boundaries and challenging traditional notions of art and design.
