Primary Job Purpose:


The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources functions within the school. This position requires a detail-oriented and organised individual who can assist in various HR activities to ensure the effective management of personnel-related processes.


Key Relationships (Internal and External): All School Staff, Central Office HR Department, Taaleem HR Advisors network, external agencies and regulatory bodies.


Key Accountabilities:
• Assist the HR officer on HR issues of all school staff, including (but not limited to); 
contracts, employment terms and conditions, payroll, housing, HR policies, leave and 
entitlement

Recruitment Support: Assist HR Officer in coordinating the recruitment process, such as posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Maintain communication with candidates and ensure a smooth interview experience.
• Onboarding Assistance: Help prepare new hire documentation and support the onboarding process for new staff members. Collaborate with different departments to ensure new employees are integrated successfully.
• Data Management: Maintaining HR / employee information systems, both hard copy files and electronically through HRMS, ensuring records are accurate and up to date with all key employment documentation uploaded on HRMS. Generate reports through HRMS as requested by School Leaders of Central Office.
• Benefits Coordination: Provide administrative support for employee benefits 
programs and assist in addressing employee inquiries. Assisting organising benefits enrollment and related communications.
• Timekeeping and Leave Management: Monitor staff attendance, track leave requests, and maintain leave balances. Liaise with payroll manager to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
• Employee Relations Support: Serve as a point of contact for general employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures. Assist in addressing minor employee relations issues and contribute to fostering a positive work environment.
• Training and Development: Support the coordination of training sessions and professional development opportunities. Help maintain training records and assist in training logistics.
• Policy Adherence: Assistin communicating HR policies and guidelines to employees. Contribute to ensuring adherence to labour laws and regulations.
• Administrative Assistance: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and document preparation. Assist in generating HR reports and presentations.
• Other Duties: Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, as reasonably requested by the management

Skills

Person Specification:

Education:Desirable Bachelor’s Degree holder and recognizedHRQualification and/or professional 
accreditation preferred

Experience: At least 1 years’ experience in a supportive HR role, understanding of UAE Labour Law preferred but not essential. Knowledge of HRMS an advantage. UAE Nationals do not require experience.

• Competent using IT systems, including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, and ideally HRMS
