Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Systems and Societies & MYP Science Teacher to join our team in August 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching these subjects, fostering a love for science, and promoting environmental awareness among students.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Environmental Systems and Societies & MYP Science classes.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to learn and explore scientific concepts.
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Integrate real-world examples and current environmental issues into the curriculum to make learning relevant and impactful.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support the overall academic and personal growth of students.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience in Environmental Systems and Societies & MYP Science.
- Deep knowledge of environmental systems, sustainability, and scientific principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Skills
Strong knowledge of environmental systems and societies
- Ability to teach the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Science curriculum
- Experience in designing engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate student progress effectively
- Familiarity with educational technology and tools for enhanced learning
