Job Overview

Dubai British School Emirates Hills is recruiting an outstanding Female Physical Education Teacher to become a part of our high performing sports and PE team, commencing August 2025. The successful candidate will join our BSO, and KHDA rated 'Outstanding' international school and will continue to build our reputation for excellence in sports, coupled with a desire to see all students develop healthy lifestyles and the willingness to participate. Candidates with the experience, skills and ability to lead one of our priority sports of Netball, Rugby or Football are desirable, however candidates should identify the range of sports to which they can contribute. With willingness to contribute to the schools extensive ECA's and competitive sport program, the successful candidates will help our young athletes to enjoy, aspire and achieve. Whilst this role is focused on teaching Primary and Early Years students, as a through school, all PE team members contribute to our sporting programme and have opportunities to coach sports at all levels.

DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum 

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Recruiting – Primary and Foundation Stage Female Physical Education Teacher

At DBSEH, we are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed Outstanding Teachers. Our teachers are always experienced in teaching the National Curriculum for Englandin the UK; with additional experience in an international setting considered an advantage.

Aside from experience, personality is very important, we look for inspirational teachers who leave a lasting impression on students for years to follow. Professional Requirements

Due to KHDA regulations, we only employ individuals with approved teacher status as well as a degree in their teaching subject area.

• High Quality Degree specializing in Physical Education, Sports Science or equivalent.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching Primary & Foundation Stage Physical Education in the National Curriculum for England in the UK or UAE.
• The ability to lead a Tier one sport of Netball, Rugby or Football would be desirable. With a willingness to contribute to the schools extensive ECA’s and competitive sport program.
• Level 2 Swimming qualification, First Aid and Teacher Aquatic qualifications Preferable, however training is provided.
• Cleared Police and Safeguarding Background Checks*.
