DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Recruiting – Examinations Officer

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Examinations Officer to join our dedicated secondary school team. This pivotal role is responsible for the efficient planning and delivery of all internal and external examinations, including iGCSEs, GCSEs, BTECs, and AS/A2 levels, as well as national agenda assessments. Working closely with the leadership team, staff, and examination boards, the Examinations Officer ensures full compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and timescales. The successful candidate will manage exam timetabling, secure storage and handling of papers, access arrangements, data entry, and communication with students and families. Strong administrative and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to remain calm under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Personal Specifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience: 

• Examinations Officer role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Handling English National curriculum examinations.
• Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of all regulations and regulatory matters pertaining to the successful delivery of public examinations.
• An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• A committed and creative individual with excellent organisational skills. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with staff and students.
• Prior experience/knowledge of iSAMS would be an advantage.
