Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of their regular teachers, ensuring that the curriculum is delivered effectively by maintaining a positive learning environment. This role is pivotal in supporting the school's mission to provide high-quality education and uphold the standards of excellence for which the school is known.

Key Relationships (Internal and External):
Teachers, Students, Parents, Principal and other members of the school management team as well as External suppliers and Standard Agencies

Key Accountabilities:

• Supervise classes across the secondary school in the absence of the regular teacher.
  Ensure students remain on task by managing classroom behaviour and following the school's behaviour policy.
• Deliver lessons pre-prepared by the regular teacher and provide support to students as they complete set tasks.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and behaviour during their absence id required.
• Uphold the school’s values and ethos, promoting a culture of respect and continuous improvement.

• Classroom Management: Strong ability to manage a classroom effectively, maintaining discipline and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly delivering instructions and interacting positively with students and staff.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to handle a variety of subjects and adapt to different classroom environments.
  Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to efficiently manage classroom activities and provide constructive feedback.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Technological Proficiency: Competence in using educational technology and digital resources to support teaching and learning.
• Professionalism: High level of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
• Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to the diverse cultural backgrounds of the school’s international community.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Experience:
Previous experience in a supervisory or educational role is desirable.
Familiarity with the British curriculum is an advantage.
